For the
kids
Though most of our
programs are geared toward adults, we didn't forget about the kids! Our
Kids' Art Camp is a week-long funfest filled with painting, drawing, drama,
pottery, jewelry and weaving. Best of all, the week ends with a
gallery show and reception for their artwork.
Most of the teachers at Adventure In Art are certified and teach in our
local school systems.
Adventure In Art is also a great place for your child's creative birthday
party! No need for the usual favors or activities. We're sure you'll satisfy
everyone with a wonderful make-n-take project included in the party. For
that next birthday, step out of the ordinary and take an Adventure, In Art.

"I simply cannot say enough
good things about Adventure in Art and Kristi Pederson. I have absolutely no
artistic ability and Kristi manages to get me out the door with something
beautiful and original every time, whether it’s a glass fusion piece or even
real silver jewelry. It feels so great making something that did not exist
before. As an adult with two children and a home to run, there is just not a
lot of opportunity to actually make art!! Kristi always has the best and most
expensive supplies to use which, as a beginner, you would never spend that
kind of money to buy. Luckily, her fees for classes are still very
reasonable.
My two children have taken summer classes with Kristi and just raved about
it. Their comment to me after the first day was “Can we do this again next
time??” I explained that they would have to wait until next summer which was met
with deep groans. Even my 10-year-old son loved it and he is the fishing,
hunting, drum-playing kind of kid. Both children got to experience art in a
new way using a pottery wheel to throw pottery, acting out parts in an
original play, and creating great glass fusion jewelry that I got to
keep!!!! The kids loved Kristi as a teacher as much as I did, saying how fun
and patient she was.
So even if you know nothing about art or any of the things she teaches,
Kristi will have you creating something beautiful that you will keep forever
and treasure with a great big smile of accomplishment on your face when you
leave."
